The Brief
To support a major FE college with their Staff Development Days to bring employees up to speed on using the free version of Copilot and Microsoft 365.
The Solution
Bite Size didn’t just deliver the training online – we designed an experience that stuck! We kicked off this project by bringing key stakeholders together to understand their goals and challenges. This allowed us to craft a series of bespoke, interactive workshops to be delivered on Microsoft Teams. To ensure we were on track, we ran a pilot session to fine-tune the format. We also built in live polls and hands-on exercises to keep energy levels and engagement high.
In just two days, we delivered 12 dynamic, 1-hour workshops via Microsoft Teams reaching up to 60 staff per session. Each session offered a practical, jargon-free introduction to Microsoft Copilot, showing how the free version integrates seamlessly with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. We also demystified SharePoint and OneDrive, helping teams unlock their full potential.
In addition, every participant received one month of unlimited access to the Bite Size Online Learning Library ensuring on-demand support long after the workshops wrapped up. The Outcome is a confident, Copilot-ready workforce equipped with the tools and know-how to work smarter, faster, and more collaboratively.
The Results
From a total of 560 participants across the 12 workshops, we trained over 250 unique staff across the 2 days. Some of the comments included

Stakeholder Feedback
This wasn’t just about learning how to use Copilot or Microsoft 365, it was about shifting the mindset. The sessions helped staff feel more confident, curious, and open to trying new digital approaches. People who were previously hesitant now see these tools as something they can explore rather than avoid.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Staff spoke about learning simple but powerful shortcuts and quick wins that they could immediately see making a difference to how they work.
As part of our wider digital skills project, we were really keen to offer bespoke training. Something that felt relevant to our day-to-day roles, not just generic how to guides. Bite Size understood that straight away. They helped us shape something that hit the right level, struck the right tone and delivered real value.
