A Year of Impact Across Excel, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and so much more

Digital transformation doesn’t happen through software alone it happens through people. And over the past few years, organisations across the UK have partnered with Bite Size to strengthen digital confidence, boost productivity, and unlock smarter ways of working.

From Excel mastery to AI‑powered efficiency with Copilot, these four recent case studies showcase the real, measurable impact of flexible, high‑quality digital training.

” Four Projects, One Theme: Practical skills that are transforming how people work”

Further Education College - building a Copilot ready workforce - Virtual Workshops and eLearning
  • As AI tools like Copilot become embedded into everyday work, this FE College wanted to help staff adopt Microsoft 365 and Copilot with confidence and not fear.
  • Bite Size delivered two full days of high impact sessions for groups of up to 60 attendees, followed by a pilot and the rollout of 12 full sessions reaching over 570 seats (around 250 unique participants).
  • Every attendee also received one month of unlimited access to the Bite Size Online Learning Library for continued support.
  • The outcome? A genuine shift in mindset. Staff who were once hesitant about digital tools became curious, confident, and open to experimentation. Quick wins, jargon free delivery, and hands on practice helped people recognise how Microsoft 365 and Copilot can make everyday tasks faster and more efficient.
Waste Management Sector - elevating skills across Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint - Virtual Workshops
  • This project set out to enhance its organisation wide capability in data analysis and reporting, turning to Bite Size for a series of virtual workshops covering Excel, Power BI and professional presentation design.
  • Across 2025, 140 staff filled 248 seats across 9 workshops including Power BI at various levels, Excel Lookups, Working with Functions, Time Savers, Pivot Tables, and PowerPoint best practice.
  • Feedback was exceptionally strong, with the vast majority of participants rating sessions 5/5.
  • Learners reported time savings, increased confidence navigating spreadsheets, improved reporting quality, and more professional outputs highlighting a clear return on investment.
Food Industry – Digital eLearning programme continues to deliver impact in 2026 - eLearning
  • What started back in 2023 as a structured plan to boost Excel capability, our eLearning Library has continued to deliver growing returns for this Global Organisation.
  • Using the Bite Size Online Learning Library, they ran a focussed three month programme aiming to build confidence across all levels.
  • The results were significant with 196 learners, 2,074 hours of learning, 12,445 lessons completed and 280 tests passed.
  • Participants praised the flexibility, relevance, and practicality of the learning modules and many are now progressing onto Power BI workshops and advanced Excel training, demonstrating the value of staged, targeted upskilling.
Global Logistics Sector - Delivered Excel Training - Virtual Workshops and eLearning
  • This Excel transformation journey began years earlier through Bite Size’s eLearning platform but in 2025 they scaled their ambitions. Between September and December, 134 staff were trained at all levels across 83 virtual sessions, filling 546 places.
  • 2-hour Workshops ranged from introduction to master levels across 3 continents.
  • The blended model of live Virtual Workshops plus access to the online library with mandatory testing, delivered exceptional results
  • 84% rated the training 5/5, 99% said they would recommend it and 132 competency test passes.
  • Participants highlighted improvements in shortcuts, formulas, conditional formatting, dashboards, and data visualisation skills leading to faster, more accurate, more professional work across the business.

Across these four organisations, common themes emerged:

  • Practical, hands on learning drives real behaviour change – whether it’s mastering Pivot Tables or using Copilot effectively, learners valued being able to apply skills immediately.
  • Flexibility matters – Virtual Workshops and on-demand eLearning meant staff could train around busy roles, without disruption.
  • Focussed programmes boost engagement – Three month sprints and application specific learning kept motivation high.
  • Organisations saw measurable ROI – Higher confidence, faster workflows, more consistent reporting, better decision making, and more professional outputs.
  • Digital culture improves when people feel supported – from Excel beginners to staff exploring AI tools for the first time, learners described feeling empowered and more open to digital innovation.
