Microsoft Excel – Using Vlookups with Pivot Tables – a Powerful Combination!`Excel 365

DID YOU KNOW …. if you imagine your Excel workbook is a treasure island, then a VLOOKUP is your treasure map (as it helps you find hidden clues and information), and your Pivot Table is your treasure chest (as it helps you sort, organise and summarise all the treasure you’ve collected!).  When you use them both together, you’re no longer just finding treasure, you’re uncovering the whole story behind it. Together they turn raw data into valuable discoveries.

  • Treasure Map is your VLOOKUP – it finds extra information from another table with ease.
  • Treasure Chest is your Pivot Table – it summarises and analyses large amounts of data.
  • Hidden Clues are your VLOOKUPS and Pivots – they add important details that make your reports more meaningful.

Go on give it a try.  It only takes a few minutes. Click the play button below to get started.
