DID YOU KNOW … that using the option ‘percentage of parent row total’ in a pivot is so powerful because it helps you understand the relative contribution within a group, not just raw numbers? It instantly shows what share each item contributes to its group – so you can spot top performers, imbalances, and trends at a glance.

Percentages make it easier to spot dominant categories, balanced versus skewed distributions and changes over time to segments.
